For this outreach program with the Danville region, multidisciplinary teams of architecture, landscape architecture, and urban and regional planning students collaborated on proposals for ecologically sustainable developments that would connect downtown urban spaces with the Vermilion River and offer places where people could interact with nature more directly. Community members offered input on their priorities as teams began drafting their ideas, and final presentations were given to an audience that included faculty members, classmates, and Mayor Scott Eisenhauer of Danville.
Illinois Theatre's 2016 production of In the Blood, written by Suzan-Lori Parks and based loosely on Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, featured Maya Vinice Prentiss as Hester.

Typically relegated to the pit underneath the Tryon Festival Theatre stage in Krannert Center, the orchestra for operas and musical theatre productions rehearses aboveground.
Critiques—from both instructors and other students—play a crucial role in landscape architecture courses. This type of feedback not only helps to refine ideas but also allows students to practice how to field questions from future clients and draw up new plans that incorporate their input.
To celebrate the life of Professor Emeritus Beverly Blossom, her piece Brides was reconstructed by alumna Mei-Kuang Chen for November Dance: Attachment in 2015. This version included both male and female brides to commemorate the 2015 Supreme Court ruling in favor of same-sex marriage.

BFA Exhibition 2016
To accurately capture the setting of a play, costume designers, set designers, and properties masters extensively research appropriate clothing styles, materials, furniture, and accessories. Some pieces are sourced and purchased, some are created in production shops inside Krannert Center, and others are located among the thousands of items in storage.
