April 14 Uncorked and On Topic Discusses Mega

Thursday, March 17, 2016

An immense scale—such as planet size—presents distinct design challenges. How can mammoth projects retain a sense of intimacy? Can an environment designed at a massive scale encourage personal interactions? Mary Pat McGuire of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Marci Uihlein of the Illinois School of Architecture will explore the possibilities and problems encountered when working on mega-sized projects at the April 14 session of Uncorked and On Topic. Held in conjunction with the Uncorked wine tasting, this free moderated conversation starts at 5:15 p.m. in the Tryon Festival Theatre Foyer at Krannert Center.
