February 4 Uncorked and On Topic Focuses on Memory

Wednesday, January 20, 2016

Ollie Watts Davis of the School of Music and Jeffrey Poss of the Illinois School of Architecture will discuss the connections between memory and the arts at the next Uncorked and On Topic. How often do you picture exactly where you were when you last heard a song? Have you ever gained insight into a historical event while walking through a building where it occurred? Linked to both cultural and personal stories, architecture and music help us remember and retell the past. Held in conjunction with Krannert Uncorked, each edition of Uncorked and On Topic features faculty members in conversation and audience participation. Join in the discussion about the role of the arts in memory at 5:15 p.m. on February 4 in Krannert Center's Tryon Festival Theatre Foyer.
