Sullivan, Monson Discuss Health at February 19 Uncorked and On Topic

Thursday, February 5, 2015

Healthy living environments will be examined at the next installment of Uncorked and On Topic on February 19. William Sullivan of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Jennifer Monson of Dance at Illinois will address subjects such as collective health and the connections between health and systemic injustice. Sullivan researches green space in urban environments, is a member of the Education Justice Project, and heads the Productive Prison Landscape program at the Danville Correctional Center. A Doris Duke Impact Award winner, Monson engages the public through outdoor choreographic pieces that examine large-scale natural phenomena including migration and geological formations such as watersheds. Dean’s Fellow Kevin Hamilton will moderate the free discussion beginning at 5:15 p.m. in the Tryon Festival Theatre Foyer at Krannert Center.
