William Wegman to Give Talk on March 5

Friday, February 27, 2015

Alumnus William Wegman—the irrepressible artist perhaps best known for photos starring his long-faced Weimaraners—will speak at Krannert Art Museum at 5:30 p.m. on March 5. At this free talk, he will discuss his creative process as well as the current exhibition Artists Including Me: William Wegman, which runs through July 25. Earning an MFA at Illinois, Wegman focused on conceptual and performance art, video, photography, printmaking, and painting. The pieces at Krannert Art Museum feature Wegman's humor as he evokes artists and movements such as da Vinci and pop art through his postcard paintings, drawings, and photographs.
